Imogen and Caroline first met in 2009 while working in a gourmet food and wine store in Canberra. The past decade has seen us both move around and experience our own adventures, and settle in the beautiful Eurobodalla. Our individual passion for good food and good hospitality has grown, and the next chapter will see us come together to share it with others.
We are both down to earth, genuine and open minded people. Residents and visitors to the south coast alike know that this area is special. There is no pretension or expectation - it is somewhere that everyone is welcome, and everyone is respected.
We keep coming back to the idea of “salt of the earth”, which is where our name comes from and what we hope to personify.
Imogen has spent the last few years growing her passion for food both through cooking professionally, and self-taught interests such as fermenting. She has also spent the last few years learning about nutrition, wellbeing, gardening, sustainability and the importance of localisation.
Caroline is a proud host and loves to bring people together. With a background ranging from events and hospitality to digital marketing, her goal is to create enjoyable and memorable experiences for guests.
